Charissa Vandikas represented the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association’s in the 2014 Young Artist Tour, where she embarked on a recital tour to several Ontario cities this fall. She has also performed in several concerts, including a piano concerto with the Toronto Sinfonietta.
Charissa has performed in masterclass with Robert Silverman, Valerie Tryon, and Prof. Paul Komen. She was awarded the 2014 North York Music Festival Founder's Award, which included a scholarship to attend the Peter de Grote Summer Academy in the Netherlands. While there, she was awarded the Haydn Jeugd Strijkorkest Soloist Award and has been invited to perform with them in 2016.
Charissa made her orchestral debut with the Greater Toronto Philharmonic Orchestra in October 2013. She recently completed her Licentiate Diploma and is currently studying with Dr. Michael Esch. She has been accepted at the Glenn Gould School on a full scholarship this fall with John O'Conor.
