Photo - Andrew SonAndrew Son was born in 1999 and is a Halifax native. Currently fifteen years old, he is in grade ten at the Halifax Grammar School. 

At the age of five, Andrew started playing the piano with Oksana Zotova and is currently studying with Betty Ro from the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts. Performing as a violinist as well, Andrew joined the Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra in 2012 and is the concert master since 2013.

In 2014, Andrew received a scholarship from the Nova Scotia Talent Trust, and in 2015, he won the Debut Atlantic Award for Musical Excellence and received the Lieutenant Governor’s Respectful Citizenship Award.
