I have always had problems with egalitarian thinking, and I don't believe there is such a thing as equality in nature. However, we are completely able to compartmentalize and adapt to our social contract. I cannot disagree enough with, outside of the law, the notion that equality equals justice. Justice equals justice. For a social contract to work in our expansive society the legal system must treat all with equal consideration.

I can't understand any need to punish women. I'd much rather make abortion unnecessary by improving adoption & foster care support, providing greater support to women who are pregnant and want to carry full term, and providing support to teens and others who may become pregnant. As so many are want to say about guns, outlawing guns won't make people stop shooting each other. Outlawing abortion won't stop abortion. The abortion rate has hit a 30 year low and that hasn't been due to my knowledge to any stricter federal laws. It requires a comprehensive approach that supports. babies and moms without criminalizing them.

At one of the universities in upstate New York (I want to say Syracuse, since they have a forestry department, but I can't recall if that's truly correct) there is a researcher who has found a gene in wheat the produces a protein that basically makes American chestnut trees completely resistant to the non-native "chestnut blight" fungus that changed the eastern American forest a century ago by wiping out the dominant tree in the forests of most of the Appalachian Mountains, and in some other eastern (and southern) American forests as well.

Many people in the comments today are either biased towards trans people or biased against religious people (or more accurately, their actions bc of their religion). I'd

Because their lives didn't intersect. Hitler never met Churchill in the flesh: but they were both in the same hotel at one point.

Then god is not omniscient. Because an omniscient god will know absolutely how it would play out. So again, omniscience cancel free will. If there is no god then you're certainly right. If there is a god but he doesn't know the future then you're right. If there is a god who is omniscient then free will is not possible. We are simply celestial DVD's. running our program. If my granddaughter can change her fate then again, an omniscient knew that she would do that so she didn't in fact change her fate at all. It can all give you a headache if you think about it too much. It's simply a paradox. According to Christians, Jews and Muslims god knows how it will all play out in the finest detail. So why would he even bother creating souls? Just pop them to heaven or hell when he creates them. Omniscience means a pointless universe.

No, not at all. The 80 or so indictments so far are based on evidence found so far.

"Begun" is a euphemism because time, as we know it, did not exist in the singularity.

YOU mentioned solicitation in an attempt to say my scenario isn't supported. I pointed out that freedom of speech is not all encompassing and gave some examples. Freedom of speech is not limitless, nor was it ever meant to be.

Hardly. Jewish law had several provisions about lending to fellow Jews vs non-Jews. Islam, on the other hand, treated any debt - be that of a Muslim to a Muslim or to a non-Muslim - on equal footing.
