Born in 1997 Linda Ruan began studying piano in 2004 in China, immigrating to Canada in 2005 and continuing her musical studies with Professor Xiao Li and Dr. Corey Hamm.
Praised for “great passion and poise”, Linda has received numerous scholarships and awards. Linda advanced to the live rounds of the 2013 International e-Piano Junior Competition. She was accepted into the “Morningside Music Bridge” program 2012,2014 and 2015. She has performed at New York’s Carnegie Hall, the University of Washington, the Vancouver Academy of Music and Vancouver’s Orpheum Theatre.
In 2014, Linda toured in China, playing Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto with the Xinghai Philharmonic Orchestra.
Linda is part of The Rosettes Trio, which advanced into the Live Auditions Round of the 7th Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition and will attend the Chamber Residency at the Banff Centre this summer.
Linda will study at the Glenn Gould School in Toronto on full scholarship this fall with James Anagnoson.
