Allison Hillier

Allison Hillier lives in Calgary Alberta. Allison, a student of Colleen Athparia, has studied at the Mount Royal University Conservatory’s Academy Program for Gifted Youth since age 8.

At the age of 16, Allison completed her performer’s ARCT diploma with first class honours. Allison has enjoyed success in competitions in Canada including the Calgary Kiwanis Music Festival and the Canadian Music Competition (CMC) where she placed third in 2013 at the national finals. In June 2015, Allison competed in the national round of CMC in the piano and in the chamber group categories.

Last summer at the World Piano Conference in Novi Sad, Serbia, where Allison performed a short solo recital, she realized that a career in music was the path for her. Allison’s recent opportunities to work with large ensembles such as the Calgary Civic Symphony and the Instrumental Society of Calgary have further fueled her passion to pursue music.

Allison will to study Piano Performance in university in the fall 2015.
